В смысле, да: у этой винтовки системы Мосина, разработанной в Ижевске, несуразно длинный ствол с дульным тормозом и окно затвора длинновато. Ну а как ему не быть длинноватым, если патрон там 7,62×122. Чудовищный патрон с дульной энергией пули аж 6,2…7,9кДж. Ну а как еще? Винтовка-то планировалась противотанковая. На расстоянии 100 метров бронебойной пулей Б-32 получалось пробить аж 20 мм брони (при попадании по нормали).
Дульный тормоз для уменьшения отдачи
В принципе, само по себе неплохо, но для второй половины 30-х решение было очевидным образом бесперспективным. Тем более, что после пробития 15-20 мм стали заброневое действие небольшой пули получалось несущественным. Я так на пальцах прикинул — получается, что если в танкиста попасть, то еще туда-сюда — а вот железные узлы и механизмы поломать вряд ли получится. Неэффективность ПТРов винтовочного калибра была уже очевидна.
Прицел насечен аж до 2000 метров
Нет, конечно, такая винтовка легче, чем изделие калибра 14,5-мм, но ведь и достижение дульной энергии в 30+кДж в большом калибре куда как проще, даже и без сверхвысоких давлений в канале ствола (а сверхвысокое давление это ограниченная живучесть ствола, он просто выгорает за несколько сотен выстрелов). И даже в «суперснайперки» такое не пристроить — с кучностью стрельбы у этих винтовок было «так себе». В общем, не взлетело.
